In Spain, from 1 October 2026, riders and passengers of motorcycles, mopeds and other vehicles included in the General Traffic Regulations must wear protective gloves when travelling on interurban roads.

Furthermore, during practical training for obtaining a category A licence, protective gloves bearing the CE marking and complying with the applicable standard are already required. Although the general requirement mentioned applies to interurban roads, wearing purpose-designed gloves is also recommended in urban areas.

How should motorcycle gloves fit?
