We talk about the importance of maintaining the air filter. How often should you clean the filter? How to do it? How to mount it correctly? We have the collaboration of the professional pilot Jorge Casales and the collaboration of Sil Lubricants to explain in depth the correct operation of the filter.
All Trial motorcycles, whether 2-stroke or 4-stroke, carbureted or injected, need air for the engine to work correctly. The filter box is responsible for absorbing the air, and inside we find the air filter.
The air filter is one of the most important parts in terms of maintenance on the trial bike, and when This is dirty and full of dust, we will notice that the motorcycle does not work correctly.
Air filters for all brands and models
Jorge Casales explains to us the importance of cleaning the air filter periodically, the recommendation is clear. Every training session or at most every 2 training sessions, we must clean and grease the air filter. If we do not properly maintain the filter, after a few workouts, dirt will begin to enter the engine and, as a consequence, the motorcycle will begin to run poorly, both at idle and when we open the throttle to full throttle.
In this video, you can see the correct way to clean, dry, grease and install the air filter. This process is the same for all brands and models of Trial motorcycles.
